The work includes the original instrumental version of “Piano on the Moon”, which became a Grammy nominated song as recorded by Fredrick Doci, the lyric by Norman Kenner, which is paraphrased above. John Ranger, the French Canadian composer, arranger, keyboard-synthesist, created this recording on the T1 Korg Keyboard Triton Extreme. Starting in the late 60’s Ranger has made many recordings including two by the critically acclaimed 16 piece band Illustration, which he co-founded in 1971. Both “Illustration” and the latest reissue, “Man Made” are available on the Iris Music Group label.
