The Way, written, performed and narrated by Bobby Callender, was created as the soundtrack for an Indian narrative/ballet based on the Hindu First Book of Experiences.

The Way follows the travels of John, the story’s central character on his mystical path to understanding and enlightenment. Each episode is portrayed on-stage by actors and leading Indian interpretive dancers.

The work was produced as a live multi-media theatrical production in various New York City venues in 1971 and released an an LP. It was subsequently released on CD in Italy.

This New Edition, produced by Alan Lorber is the first USA CD release.
