1. "Variations On A Morning Prayer" composed by Alan Lorber, is a universal expression of hope, an East-West calling-out to all-man. The piece is Baroque in nature with jazz-vibraphone and sitar variations culminating in a double fugue ending in a statement of unity.

2. "Variations On A Tango Dance" is an expression of personal relationships, when at one time or another we all dance to a tango-variation. Built on 5 areas of intimacy, the work asks the listener to supply his/her own steps.

3. "Melancholy Variations" explores 3 stages of the melancholic temperament, again asking the listener to color ones own lighter or darker personal expression.
